Spiritual Care Competence Questionnaire

Home of the Spiritual Care Competence  Questionnaire

The Spiritual Care Competence Questionnaire (SCCQ)*, created by Eckhard Frick and Arndt Büssing, quantifies specific Spiritual Care competences in different professions.

While other instruments were designed to measure these competences together with religious convictions, primarily of nurses, the SCCQ was designed to be used in both, health professionals and pastoral workers, and was validated in these groups, too.

The SCCQ does not assume that the Spiritual Care provider has to be religious, and is thus also applicable in persons from more secular societies, too
